A Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling Analysis of the Primary Barriers to Sustainable Construction in Iran

This paper outlines the obstacles to sustainable construction growth in Iran and thereafter examines effect relation between these barriers direction of as one essential objectives for achieving cities infrastructure. The study is applied research purposes that are based on descriptive survey data gathering correlational analysis techniques. statistical population this consists 120 construction-related engineers university professors who were assessed a five-point Likert scale. Using SmartPLS software version 4, responses questionnaire examined. Kolmogorov–Smirnov assessment was utilized evaluate normalcy variables, typically employed purpose. For analysis, PLS (partial least squares) method used, while SEM (structural equation modeling) methods have been used assess hypotheses. Cronbach’s alpha composite reliability coefficient (CR) determine instrument’s viability, results show connected all variables above 7.0, which an acceptable value. AVE (average variance extracted) also questionnaire’s validity, greater than 0.4 deemed coefficients significance (T-values), predictive power (Q2), determination (R2). obtained support confirm hypotheses, including identified directly affect performance construction. According Friedman test, legal restrictions variable (CL) most significant obstacle Iran, with rank 4.24. indicators political limits (CP) social cultural constraints (CSC) came at second third, respectively. could help government officials make better decisions about where focus their attention how distribute scarce resources.
